The festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year hasn’t completely faded yet, but amidst the busy resumption of work at the factory, I’ve been receiving price adjustment notices from suppliers one after another. It was only then that I truly felt the ripple effects of the distant conflict—the world is so closely connected, and no one can truly stand apart.

Before the New Year, we received customer orders for the first quarter of 2026, to be delivered after the holiday. As the Lunar New Year was approaching and we hadn’t anticipated sudden changes in the international situation, we didn’t stock up on raw materials in advance, planning to arrange procurement after the holiday. Now, with material costs fluctuating sharply, we’ve indeed been caught off guard.

Despite the cost pressure, I have no intention of requesting a price increase from the customer for these already accepted orders. These orders represent the trust and commitment our customers placed in us before the New Year, and I must honor the agreed-upon prices. This is not just a commercial contract but the very foundation of our factory’s reputation—keeping our word and standing by our promises.

May there be peace in the world, and may raw material prices soon return to normal.
